I don't think that it was dredged. I heard the rumor too, went down to look at the inlet and there was a boat stuck. I made it through this winter on the extreme tides that we had, but it was close. The nor'easters of this fall shoaled the inlet. It should be better in the spring with more water, but it has not been dredged. I heard something about that they do it every four years and the next time for it to be done is in 2008.

ms. ellen....how did you like the rate increase? I guess it could have been worse. Also were you able to get in during Jan.? I heard it was totaly shut down, the whole park.

    Angry rate increase suxs

rate increase would be ok if they did more for the money, but they are still lower than most places. i wish they would dreadge the inlet like they do in OI, that would be sweet. did not go down during jan so i dont know if they had it closed or not it would not suprize me if it was.

I was able to get in and out even at winter low tide. Stay right in the middle. Shoals quickly to either side. Unless they dredge, it will be single file like it was a few years ago. Everyone will have to have a great deal of patience this summer. Not enough room for 2 boats to pass in the shallow areas.

    Exclamation single file

10-4 on the single file, thats better than no file at all, maybe when they do dredge it again they will make it 8 foot deep and it may last a while. wishful thinking i know
