Unless you are heading out after dark and on an outgoing tide, I wouldnt bother with the HRBT. Ive never done very well out there during the day for rockfish. Id head out to the CBBT if possible and throw some jigs at the pilings and rocks.
I have a chance to go fishing at HRBT on Tuesday (maybe run out to the CBBT if seas are okay)...anyone know if there are still some C&R Stripers hanging out there?...maybe some trout?...thanks...

Went across the bridge last sat. to go rockfishing @ Rudy-we saw all the birds in the world working the bridge, I would say the small rockfish are still there. The guys are correct about fishing it during the day.You need to fish it after dark.We used to fish it all winter long for catch & release stripers.I did however get lucky one day getting stuck in traffic as they had the tunnel shut down for about a half hour.I had my rod in my work truck & proceeded in wearing the schoolies out.It was the rite time of the year & I was in the rite place at the rite time. That will probably never happen again.Good luck!!!! I have never caught them during the day with lures but I have had great success with chunks of Bunker,on the bottom, during the day. At night you can toss out near about anything and catch them when the bite is on. You can have much luck at the M&M during the day. Put some bunker chunks on the bottom with a fish finder rig . The school size stripers are there year round. I take my kids out there all the time and with 2 kids on the boat you need some action or they do not want to stay out for long. GIL
I will make sure I find some bunker before heading out...I was going to use straght lures...
