    Default speckled trout flies

Are there any fly fisherman at this site that can reccommend color combination for clousers to fish for trout in Florida Bay?

I tie a clouser type fly just for fishig the "potholes" and grass in Fla. Bay. It consists of a bucktail wing with gold flash over cactus chanile palmered on the shank. Use med. beadchain eyes...very important! The cactus chanile lets the flysink slowly into the potholes. Tie some with small lead eyes for deeper (4-6ft.) grass flats. I've had a lot of luck on black over orange. Trout love a fat finger mullet or pilchards, so olive/white black/white, purple/white (a favorite) or even all black if the water is cloudy. Enrico Puglisi patterns are great imitators of pilchards or whitebait in olive/white or all white. Again all black is a fantastic color on the flats... at least for me. I'll be there again this year in Apr. Good Luck!

Thank you for your reply. I am sitting down at the trying bench tonight. Good luck in April.
