They have been catchin big reds in the surf on the south end of Ocracoke whenever the wind comes for the south. Fish up to 52". Water temps 53-55 degrees.

Been happening here and there for two weeks now and I still can't get the wind right with my days off; go figure!!!
Maybe I'll get lucky next week??? Or I'll catch doggies all day!!!!

Man wish I was there!
The Reds in Surf is great Wish I was down there! 15 Months retiring to New Bern area can't wait. I've been rigging my truck for Surf Fishing,I made a rod holder for the bumper I can take off when not in use. I love hearing their catching some,makes me wanna take off and go!

I,m spooling down to 15 lb test to try to get more distance on my casts. If you ain't out far enough you ain't fish'n right!
