I recently caught my first tilefish and wanted to check out the Mercury Levels. I went to

and found the following quote:

Do not eat Shark, Swordfish, King Mackerel, or Tilefish because the contain high levels of mercury

I researched further and found a study that gives detailed information that shows Atlantic and Golden Tile fish are safe to eat. It is Gulf Tilefish that have the high levels of mercury. Details on both Atlantic Tilefish and Gulf Tilefish
