Small chartreuse bead-head wooly buggers have also worked for me...but given the choice, I'd use a clouser, size 8, chartr. or yellow over white.
What are good patterns for white perch? Have caught on a clouser, but was wondering about alternatives.
Thanks

Olive over white ultra-hair bead chain clouser ... all wing, no tail material. 3 strands of pearl krystal flash on top. # 6 Mustad 34007. If they don't eat it, they ain't there.
thanks, hope to get the boat on the river Sunday for a shakedown and hope for some pullage.
I've had great luck with Smaller crazy charlie's
Something like this works pretty good

I've had luck with pretty much any streamer pattern that is on the small size, from mickey fins to crazy charlies to grey ghosts, white perch are pretty indiscriminate
Hey Paul...good to see you posting...must be getting close to the time to hit Richland... (I hope)...
Any bonefish fly works well. I think something shiney is the important thing.
I can attest to the fly that JMadert describes above. He showed me that fly a few years ago and it has been my go to fly for whiteys. It catches anything else that's there too. Here's a pic of one...
I've also done well with mini crease flies on a sinking line for big white perch. One similar to the fly on top in the photo below has produced quite a few larger perch and if the stripers are mixed in they love it too...

Go small. 8s and 10s. Bones patterns work great.
