Default Any reports on lower Potomac?

Coming out of the Coan, has anyone been anywhere from the Birthday Cake to Smith Point or Point Lookout?

I have not..I thought I heard of a few croaker being caught. I will be either hitting Ragged Point or Bushwood area. Hear a report that a guy caught a few at Bushwood Wharf they ought to be in soon. Rockfish I don't know. We fished mouth of St Mary's River.

I fished the St. Georges Island area Sat and Sun. I caught 5 Sat morning first thing, 25, 3-31 and 34. All caught between 7 and 9 am. The 25 and 34 were released. The 31's became dinner that night. I took another group out that afternoon and got nothing. Not so much as a knock down.

Tried the same area Sun and again got nothing. I saw a couple people catch fish, and marked lots of bait and fish, but no bites. From the talk on the board and radio it sounds like the temp is the problem. Sat the temp was 52 and Sun it was 54. So if we keep the weather as it is maybe the fish will turn on by the weekend.

    Keep trying and Good Luck!!!!

Here's a link to my report from Sat. I wasn't in the Potomac, but I was never any more than 10 or so miles from Smith Pt. The fishing was pretty good IMHO.

I assume you let him know that was a NO, NO. With this warm weather it should pick up pretty quick, I'm determined not miss them running through. I'll be watching reports closely and will post them if I have any news.

I went out yesterday evening for about two hours in the bouy 9 area. Not one knockdown or fish on. Saw very little bait or fish on the FF. I guess we need the water to warm up some more?

Fished Saturday and Sunday mornings and picked up 1 fish each day. A 27" that got released to for another day and a 29" which turned into dinner that night. Both picked up around #7 on a white umbrella no weight. Marked plenty of fish, most around the 20' area, but no takers. Will try again this weekend if it does not blow to much. I come out of the Coan as well.
