HRBT Area Report Sunday 4.22.07

Fished around the pilings from 8:30a - 2p; tagged / released 7 undersized flounder, and kept one at 19 1/2". Also caught a couple of pretty good sized bluefish. Water temperature was warming from 55 degrees to 58 degrees by mid-day.

Flounder were regurgitating bay anchovies, and each one we caught had a bulging belly of bait so there must have been plenty of stuff in the water that we couldn't see for them to feed on.
