Default What Type of Boat for Wachapreage/Chincoteague?

Hi. I am plannning a trip down for some flounder in the next few weeks. I have two boats that I could bring. One is a 21 foot center console with a 150 hp Yahama and the other is 18 foot aluminum Lund with a 20 hp Mercury. Which would be better for fishing around the bays for flounder? I understand that a lot of boats are on the smaller side. Thanks

Either would work but if you want to save some gas just use the small one.
I fished both places for years with a 16' jon boat/20 hp.
If you go to Wachapreague, there is a short boat ride to where most fish, so the bigger boat gets you there faster.
At Chincoteague, from most any ramp you are already in flounder land.

It can get a little nasty out by the Cell or off Cape Charles. Most folks are headed to the CBBT and I would not want to be out in a smaller boat if the weather picked up and you had get to shore quickly.
