4-25-97 Shad At Cb

Went down to Chain Bridge this morning to fish for about an hour and quarter before work. With the good weather we've had, the water clarity has improved and the fish shad were stacked up. Pink/white, chartruese/white, purple/white clousers and shad flies in size 2 to 6 all worked well. In all I landed about a dozen fish and probably lost about another half dozen.

Man, I think I might have to take the afternoon off and hit the river for some of that shad action. I'm afraid that the rain moving in will muddy everything up again for the weekend! Anyone else heading down this afternoon?
