I'm out. I can't write about an hour long fishing trip in under 200 words.
Just read in The Drake that Columbia Sports wear is giving away a saltwater fishing shirt to the best story under 60 words about saltwater fishing. The Drake Magazine - Home
Direct from Drake:
Columbia, wants to give you one of their sweet saltwater shirts. But it don't come free. There's labor involved. Welcome to The Drake's "Sixty Words on Saltwater" contest, brought to you by Columbia. Best three entries each get one of those shirts (even comes in your size, fatso). So, tell us a story about snook. Write us a poem about permit. Or simply write one long but spectacular sentence on your most memorable saltwater experience ever. Send entries to sixtywords@drakemag.com

Still boycotting Columbia Sportswear after their public support of John Kerry in 2004. No company that supports a NE Liberal war criminal is getting a thing from me.

Dave,
I Really Like Columbia Products, But I Did Not Know They Supported Kerry,
That Will Really Make My Decision To Change. Thanks For The Info, More It You Have It.
Mike
Sorry Dave, I know this isn't the BS board but I gotta ask...
...war criminal?
Really?
David
David-
I guess you're right.
It all depends on what happened in the "Sampan Incident". A boat under John Kerry's command fired on a slow moving sampan and women and children were killed. So that might not make him a "war criminal" perse. However he did commit treason during his time in Vietnam, and upon returning from the war. So I should have replaced the words "war criminal" with "Traitor" since no one will ever know for sure what happened on that river in '69, but we do know what he did here in America.
He is a liar and a fraud and I stand by my decision to no longer support Columbia Sportswear for their support of him.

Here was my entry:
"We need to stop by a job site tomorrow." (employee code for fishing on the clock) I show up, fly rods in hand. He, boat in tow. Motoring along in the sweet salt air we find our quarry... blitzing Stripers. The sun rises as commuters cross the bridge bound for work. Poor souls.
