Smile Fishin Fool - Tile & Seabass Deep Fun

    Boat: Fishin Fool
    31' Contender FA

Crew: Lucian (Myself), Bill Bogue (Bbogue), Louis Glaser & Chris Martin

We left the dock at 0530, heading EAST, had an East wind so we had head seas all the way out. I took it easy on my crew and ran 27 - 30mph. The farther we went, the nicer it became.

We started looking when we arrived, dropping here and there, catching doggie after doggie. There were a couple of boats working the area we wanted to start at and I didn't want to crowd them, so we continued East.

I recieved a call on a bite a few more miles away (THANKS MAN I OWE YOU ONE), we headed over. First drift we put Many Tiles in the boat, drifted more and finished out our limit in short order as well as a few very nice seabass.

We decided to head back inshore to get some more bass and stopped at our first choice and caught some more decent fish.

Heading in we stopped here and there, checking this and that, caught a few more before finally calling it and heading home. Nice ride in at 42 mph.

It was good to see Mike Avery & Crew on the Seduction, glad you had a good day as well.

What can I say, ANOTHER GREAT DAY WITH A GREAT CREW!!!

    Final Talley:
    Limit of Tiles
    30+ Nice Seabass

BTW: That was plenty of meat.

    Here are a few pics:

I bet there are some SORE TIRED ARMS TODAY!!!

Great working with you out there Lucian. We both got some excellent table fare for our efforts. We cleaned fish until way past sunset. Just as we were finishing up, the wind started kicking and some rain set in so we timed that weather window just perfect. Now let's have some blue water move in.

It's always WIERD to me to go that far and not be trolling a full spread, hearing pins pop and screaming drags.

SOON I HOPE... Push Blue Water!!!

Lucian, I know of one boat that went to check out the break SE of the cigar and found acres of bluefish. I think we had a better plan.

Yeah, I think so too... I figure it'll be the first or second week of June before it'll be worth heading to the cigar.

I have a trailer and plan on pointing her SOUTH SOON!!!!

I may spend a little more time targeting Pointed Creatures this year as well as a little bycatch of meat.
