    Default Lynn Pier 5/12/07

Fished from 4:30pm - 7:45pm, and nothing to show! Did see one blue pulled in on a gotcha and Bucket landed one after I left.

    SLOW Going!

How were the water and weather conditions? What happened to the blue blitzes that happened in the past about this time of year?

The Bluefish must be everywhere except there. I fished the inlet by the bridge Wed. A/M before work and as soon as the sun came up you couldn't get a lure past them to try and find something underneath them on the bottom. I should qualify that a little and say a soft (grub) lure because after catching a few and loosing grubs to everyone I tied on a Kastmaster metal spoon and they wouldn't touch it. In retrospect I didn't have any color on the hook like a bucktail or tubing which may have helped. Might have to try that next time or even a colored spoon like a Glass Minnow or gold Hopkins. They (the Blues) are there though, I've fished the bridge 3-4 times in the last month and have caught them everytime.

They are there, that's for sure.

When you walk on and see 10 guys with gotcha plugs waiting, you know they have been there.

The front is what shut er down!

Bucket and I hit rudee earlier in the day (looked for ya!) for about 15 min, but the tide was slack and not moving. Saw 1 small flattie come in and that was it!

    Water looked good!
