Default Water temp in the severn ?

Need an easy favor.Next time out can you take note of the water temp near Weems Creek or off the Rt. 450 bridge area.I want to go diving for some lost anchors (they swear they can put me "right" on them ) but I prefer to have 65* or warmer.I figure it has to be close by now.I'll also find out what the F -the "steeple" is. Skip,
Who could you possibly be talking about? Wish I knew the temp, my sensor died and I haven't gotten it replaced yet. Surely some other TFer will help us out here.

That anchors exactly where I left it, attached to 25 foot of chain on the bottom of the river next to the 450 bridge. If I could only remember which side of the bridge.

Was swimming in 74.6 degree water in little round bay on Sat. I believe the main stem was running 68, I'll check for ya tomorrow.

When Big E went "swimming" last week it was pushing mid-60s... as long as we don't get any cold rains or nights you should be pretty much in the zone. The river has been really off-color lately, though... visibility will be next to nil.

go diving off the USNA sea wall. If you don't get depth charged, you find find a slew of class rings.

I concur with Billy. I saw temps in my creek and up-river at 71-72 and down beyond Round Bay at 67-68 the past couple of days.

Let me know when you're diving the steeple. I want to be there to collect about a dozen spoons and bucktails that have my name on them. Perhaps you could parlay that venture into our next 'on the water' meeting in 3 weeks.

Too many 'items' hanging on the steeple for me.
That thing is a lure magnet... No way I'd dive that thing in zero vis.
