I would like to put my bass boat in there but I think the reason most aren't is because of the worry about launching/retrieving the boat....specifically, backing the trailer off of the back edge of the ramp!
I launched out of Eagles Landing Sat. morning with some medium minnows and the tide was on it's way out. The water in front of the store was only about 2-3' most of the way across the lake . I headed up the creeks on the left side and found some good channel edges and my first fish was a good sized Crappie. Continued up the lake along some mud flats and up Shingle Annies Creek, 1 1/2' of water opening up into 6-8' and picked up some nice Pickeral ,a few cat's, and 2 rather large Bowfin. Man, they are hard to get in the kayak.
I only saw 1 power boat , I guess because of the water level dropping and exposing alot of stumps and mud bars. The fish were rolling on the surface and I must have seen 100 clear the water. Best day I've ever had on that lake.

Really sucks to hear that the Lock is busted on the lake. From what I've been reading they won't even think about fixing it until late August.
