    Default OBX/Hatteras in Sept?

Planning a trip to OBX or Hatteras for the last weekend in Sept or the 1st weekend in Oct. for an offshore trip. What can I expect as far as the bite that time of year? Species?
    Thanks.

Nov 11th was a very good time to be fishing. Lots of nice class Tuna and not very shy. Picture is the combined effort of 10 anglers split between two boats. Fall fish is great, but wind forecast can be not so great.

Absolute Prime slob Wahoo time. (perhaps a couple weeks on the early side, but last year there was a great wahoo bite the end of Sept.) Sailfish should be around in good numbers. Smoker kings may start showing up, but still a bit early. If the weather holds warm, some very large Spanish should still be around the shoals.
