OBX. Near n' Offshore. We need a biger cooler!

The plans were to start inshore just to see what wwas-up and work down to the inlet in the next day or two to one or two offshore wreck or AR if conditions are right.
The first day of inshore fishing was a waist as crabs and more crabs came up to say hello..
On the second day we were drifting in and around the inlet for some flounders and only saw a few too small to keep so back they went so by this time the pressure was building to head out, change gear, get wet and stop the bull S%$#@.
The third day we headed out early in the AM. and with the outgoing tide we left the dirty water of the Sound and into South winds to a near shore wreck not far from the inlet where I knew from past experiences it held lg. sheepshead most of the time and soon after getting there and going over the rail it was party time with a few lg. spades, 3 lg. sheepshead on deck and one broken sling out of three total on my 38 Northwest but so what, there is meet in the cooler! I spend about half of an 80 on this 30ft dive with the water temp. in the mid. 60s an a 3mm on my back it was a bit too cold for my bones and the Spades/bluefish were small to mid. size so we headed out for some real shooting on another site.
The second hunt was in about 100 fsw to the bottom with water temp. around 68F. 40+vis: and a stiff current on the surfece. Around the 50ft. mark with ancher line under the armpit the bagging started. There was no need to get to the bottom as the thick cloud of trigger, one bigger than the other, just went around and around and around as the bag filled and ALL my sligs started to snapped as this went on.
On the 3rd. hunt of the day it was more of the same from all the others. For me a larger an older 48" Arbalett with 3 new sligs, a 7mm suit, more of 30% Nitox and a limit made my day just fine. Some other creatures went by at the end to check the "things hanging from the rope" like the largest sea tuttle I have EVER seen, BN dolfins and several small sharks. Next time I'll take a look at the bottom and take some pictures of the residents, do my deeper dive first (as in the book of diving ) and use just air for a 50ft dive, NOT!

Nice! Sounds like you had a great time. If you would ever like some more company, I would love the chance to go out diving and spearing with you guys. Going out with charters, I dont get to meet many serious spearfishers.

Nice going, you wouldn't happen to have GPS coordinates of where you guys anchored up would you?I think I know where you guys were located but just want to make sure. I'm heading back that way next Friday. Was down there weekend before last but high winds and boat issues kept me on the beach.
We usually run farther out but with the boat acting up, would start at the ramp (it's in the shop now), proably going to stay inshore for the first couple of trips juist to be safe.

In the area of the yellow bouy but not on it. And please keep an eye for divers flags on boats and floating on the surface.

I would be interested in hooking up for a trip if you ever have room. I am really interested ina blue water trip. Either freed iving or with tanks. I spend most of my time at the CLT and Tower Reef. I have all my own gear and libe in Gloucester VA
