    Default Best fish preservation method?

We had a foodsaver vacuum sealer, but it went dead on us. Any thoughts on the best method and/or gadget for freezing fish for later use?
    Thanks!

    Try this oldie but goodie.

Fill a bucket 3/4 full of cold water.
Put your fish fillets in a heavy duty freezer Zip lock bag.
Seal the "zipper" almost all the way.
Put a finger in the unsealed part of the bag.
Submerge the bag slowly into the water EXCEPT the part with your finger in it.
The water pressure will force all the air out of the bag.
Keep the bag in the water-remove your finger and seal the last inch of the bag.
Remove from the water and -poorman's vacumn sealer.
As long as the fish is used before 3 months-this works great.
    Also good for bait storage.

I'm on my second foodsaver, I love it. My first one died after vacuum sealing about 800lbs of tuna steaks. I've opened bags after two years and the tuna is still tasty.
