Puppy Drum in Lynnhaven

Some nice Puppy Drum action on Flys in Lynnhaven last night. The bait fishermen have been putting up some big numbers but until last night we have not done much with Flys. . Right at dusk with some incomming tide they were cruising the grass beds. All sight fishing nothing blind casting. Olive over White Clousers droped right on there nose did the trick

We also had some fun casting to big schools of Rays. One hooked took 15 minutes to bring to the boat. He took the same Oliver over White Clouser the drum did. In his mouth just like a Drum no fowl hooks. After that fight we let the rest past.

Finished up with some dock fishing and Stripers. They would not touch the Clouser but hit a Gummy minnow right away

Nice Job Boats! We were out this morning, same tide. Saw some but no takers. Caught two small flounder on the fly. Watched Cory land a few nice Pups on spinning gear. I'll fill you in on the details. The stripers are a blast !

After the pups again in Lynnhaven. Sunday morning dead low tide nothing, Monday night started at dead low again and worked up toward the grass beds as the tide rose. Nothing the first half of the flood then fish showed up about 9 pm at half high. Only caught one but a nice fish. Olive/White Clouser again
