Thinking about buying a meat slicer for the home. I am familiar w/ the commercial grade Hobart machine, but these are bigger and heavier than I want at home. Does anyone know of machines designed for home use and if they are any good.
Thanks.
Barry
I looked around and decided to try a Waring Pro food slicer...bought it on line someplace for like $99 with free shipping and no tax...I use it all the time...cook up a bunch of chicken breasts, pull the breast off the bone and slice in 1/8 in slices for sandwiches and salads and much more...london broil...1/16th in slices oh so tender...I buy cold cuts in bulk at better prices at like Sam's and slice as I need them...I use less meat for sandwich and it stays better when it's in a big piece as opposed to a lot of slices..easy take down for cleaning also also do baked hams and turkey breast...I have a really extensive set of VERY high grade knives and still love the Waring model FS 150 ( it's on my counter 24/7)
Thanks for the info. Thats the very one I was considering. Bought it and used it over the weekend. Seems to work great, just hope it lasts for a while.
Thanks again.

Barry,
did you find it online, or buy it in a store. I would like to find one myself, hopefully before deer season
My wife found it locally at Bed Bath and Beyond, I believe it was $99 in the store. She had some coupon which saved something off the asking price. I believe she paid in the mid $80 range with tax.
