    Default spades on saturday

I am taking my dad out saturday to try for some spades since he has never caught any and was wondering if anyone has any advice on where to take him other than the clt? I had a blast at the clt earlier this summer but was trying for something closer.

High rise, 9ft shoal pilings. This time of year they really should be just about anywhere. You might not find them as large as on the CLT earlier in the summer but they should be everywhere.

I was at the 4th is. on Wed and the bite was good on outgoing.Using floats was most popular but I got them with FRESH clam on a 1/0 hook just free lining. Thurs. they were not so cooperative. BB

We anchored up on the ocean side of the 4th and we were headed back to poquoson out of bait and a box full of nice spades by noon. Its always nice when i ask for help and the tidal fish bunch "hooks" me up. Thanks for your tips!
