Wayne (Bandit), Tim(Silver Fox) & Myself(Big Boy), with a few others, have been fishing together for the past 2-3 years. Most of our fishing has been Striped Bass. Tim moved us into spades, and all of us have done the occasional flounder, mackerel, and all other bay fishing. Before the three of us hooked up together, we all have had our share of offshore adventures. Most trips being charters, however I am the least experienced in offshore.

Toward the end of this years' Rudee rockfishing trips , we all said how great it would be to try a few offshore fishing trips this summer. Funny, that at the same time we meet Capt Kevin Bremer a few slips down at VB Fishing Center. That happened to be a great meeting.

Back in June the offshore talk got stronger. Wayne hires Succession down at OI for an offshore trip with a few customers. During that great trip Wayne has Kevin helping us fish Bandit on a couple offshore trips in July. I have to say Tim and I were a little skeptical, We all know how to fish and why couldn't we accomplish offshore fishing quick.

After 4 trips, Bandit has three citations: Dolphin, Wahoo, and the infamous White Marlin released on the 5th try. We may have been lucky enough to get one citation during these trips without Kevin, however Capt. Bremer taught us water temp, fishing spreads, offshore trolling, and basic boat handling that resulted in 4 very successful trips. He definitely shortened our learning curve and offshore expenses.
