Wachapreague report 8/3-5

Small croakers, most under 12". A few up to 15" but not like in previous years when we wouldn't think about keeping anything under 12, and we'd still fill a box each day. Enough for a couple fish fries but not much to take home. Fished mostly along the island just north of the inlet, also at Green&Drawing. Didn't really target flounder but caught a few shorts. No keepers.
Didn't sink, didn't drown, didn't get arrested - good trip.

I may go down this weekend, I thought the croaks would be in, I was hoping they would be the big boys. Thanks for the report.

FWIW, if you go...one guy claimed to have caught some bigger croakers in front of/slightly south of the old CG stn.
I didn't see them.
Another guy claimed to have caught 5 keeper flounder and numerous croakers at the same spot. I didn't see any of his fish.
I tried that area with about the same results as elsewhere.
