    Default Redfish flat fotos

    So you get there three hours before high tide and this is what it looks like and this is who you see:

    That's a little plover doing it's thing.


    Here's a white heron; it would not let me get very close.


    Here is what it looks like a couple hours later.

    The thick cover is not actually a deterrent to landing them. They run to the open areas and you keep your rod tip high so the grass doesn't collect on the line. The thick grass IS a deterrent to presenting your fly and makes it very difficult.
