Default Good news for Weem's creek

Read in today's paper that the Gov. is giving some money to fix Cow Hide creek that feeds into Weems.Better late then never .

Also the SHA will be fixing some drains along Rt 97-right at the Severn Run in the next year .Great to hear of some money being spent on improving the run off problems . Skip

God its about time someone woke up.....not that the river as a whole doesn't need all the help it can get and maybe I'm a little biased 'cuz I grew up and still keep my boat on that creek, but it has been way out of control for way too long of a time.

    Thanks for the update,

Kudos to Scott Hymes and Fred Kelley on this. The grant/attention-getting were a result of hard work and persistence (squeaky wheel syndrome).

Now we just need a few dedicated kayakers to go kill all the fledgling mute swans each spring like last year.... ...THEN the system can start returning to normal.....

And Woody has a permit to 'coddle' mute swan and resident Canda goose eggs.......

    Count me in.
Would a Mossberg Mariner be appropriate, or do I need something a bit more 'stealthy'?
