Default Mildly OT: Apricot Mango Wasabi Sauce

I can't believe that back in the day we thought bluefish were only good for burying in the garden.

Anyway, I kept one of those fiesty 17" blues the other night, and filleted and broiled it w/ a little olive oil and this wasabi sauce someone gave me a month or two ago. It was great. I highly recommend it. It's Apricot Mango Wasabi Sauce from Omaha Steaks. Frankly, it didn't sound that appealing and I wouldn't have bought it myself--but it's really good.

Also, small blues aren't just "not bad," they're delicious. Finally, an excuse to keep a few of the small fish I always seem to catch anyway.

Of course, I will only savor such delicately flavored fare while dining in an atmosphere complimented by the appropriate decor.

I just moved this so people learn that we do have a cooking/recipe board.

    Sounds good!

I don't know, Glub- seeing as how you used to feed perfectly good shrimp to Chester River mud cats- I'll have to taste it to believe it!

    Mr. Choptankcrabber,

I believe it was you who introduced us to the recipe that no one could eat:

Lick the sauce off & throw the fish away.Blues are good if you skin them & trim off the dark meat.just as good as Stripers that way.
