Captain’s meeting and Awards Ceremony venue change

    Dear ladies and Gentlemen,

I am contacting you regarding important changes to the 2007 TKAA Tournament. In order to provide the best event possible, we have changed the location of the captain’s meeting and awards ceremony to the Courtyard Marriott located at 37th St. and Atlantic Ave at the Virginia Beach ocean front. We have reserved the 1st floor conference room which has a great view of the ocean.

    Meals:
In addition to the new location we also are having a buffet style meal at the awards ceremony.
Each person who entered by Sept 17th has already paid for the meal. If you have guests coming to the awards ceremony and they would like them to eat, additional meal tickets may be purchased that night ($16.00 a person). We do need to provide a head count for the hotel, so if you have others that would like to eat, you must email Wayne Bradby (wayne@waynebradby.com) and provide him with the number of additional people that will be purchasing meals. Wed. Sept 26th

There will also be a cash bar serving beer.

The menu will include: fried chicken, pulled pork BBQ, string beans, corn on the cob, baked beans, country biscuits, and iced tea,

    Parking:
The Hotel provides Valet parking and there is also a municipal parking lot 6 blocks south.

    Captains Meeting:
The Captain’s meeting is Friday, September 28th at 7:00 PM. All participants must attend Captains Meeting; special considerations may be made in certain circumstances. Meeting will be held at Courtyard Marriott located at 37th St. and Atlantic Ave at the Virginia Beach ocean front.

    Weigh-in:
All entrants wishing to enter fish must return their pictures/camera in to tournament headquarters (Courtyard Marriott located at 37th St. and Atlantic Ave.)Between 2:00pm and 4:00pm on tournament day. You must be in line by 4pm, no exceptions.

We hope that this change will make this year’s tournament an event greater success. If you have any questions, please email (akocan@cox.net) or call Jay Kocan (757-576-8651)

There will also be free concerts and fireworks going on after the event as part of the Neptune Fesival.

If you're on the fence about entering, keep in mind you can register up to the Captain's Meeting, which is Friday at 7pm at the Courtyard Marriot on 37th.

Did I mention we're giving away like 8 or 9 kayaks? And maybe 10 or 15 grand in raffle prizes?
