Default Garmin 3210 & XM weather

I woul like some feedback on this unit as I may buy one. Is the unit worth the price?
Is XM weather and radio worth the price? What plan if any is best for the bay & sometimes ocean fisherman?

    Thank you in advance

I have the 3210 and love it. Do not have weather or radar but that's in the plans. An alternative approach I may take is to get one of the smaller units with weather. When not using the boat, i can use it in my truck.

I have both and have had no problems. Make sure if you do get them that you get all the updates from the Garmin site. I have the GDL 30A xm, GMR 41 radar unit and the GSD 22 Digital Depth Module. They work great together. I actually like them better the my Furuno unit, but I use both.

I had them all, Garmin in my opinion is the best. XM is good, but remember the XM weather is delayed 5-10 mins. Compare with stand alone radar.

I bought a 476 as part of the plan but have not moved ahead with the XM weather. The 476 is a great marine backup and a great road unit.

Did put radar on 2 years ago.

I dont have the Garmin, but I have the Lowrance HDS with Sirius weather. It is awesome!!! I have a small boat and we were offshore 30 miles a few weeks ago. I could keep and eye on storms and wind. Definite peace of mind. The next morning we were going to try again and I turned on the unit and saw a massive storm on its way. I took an hour to get to us, but we stayed in waiting it out. Without the sirius weather we would have made the run offshore and got hit by the storm.
