Spot fishing

This is usually the time in the fall that the yellow-belly (citation size) spot show up in force at the HRBT, Hampton side. Tried for them today to no avail! Caught a few 1/2 lb. fish, but, they were few and far between. Following the immense haul of spot taken by a commercial fisherman off of Ocean View earlier this week, I guess that the lack of the large spot should have been anticipated. The commercial fisherman really hit the jackpot!

Talked to a couple NC boys at Huntington they had over 80 spots in 4 hours. Most were medium.

Fished sunday & tuesday, both days fishing was good just off small boat harbor. Tuesday caught well over 100fish and they were alot better than Sundays fish,used fishbites.

Most of the catches have been coming from the area closer to the MMBT and one of my favorite areas up there is around the wall in front of the harbor.
