    Smile Electronics Recomendations

I am thinking about putting new electronics on the boat. Fish Finder, Chartplotter/gps and maybe radar. I am for the most part a fair weather boater and fisherman and looking for good equipment that will keep me safe. I have a 31 foot searay express cruiser.

    Default C120 Raymarine

I have a Raymarine C120 that I use for radar, GPS, and depth finder. I'm very happy with this unit and feel it is is very user friendly. If you have room the 12' screen is nice when splitting screens.

Furuno navnet 2 Love mine had it for 2 months. Get with Corey at East Beach Continuity 309-8941. He installs all different products but I think you'll be happy with Furuno. He also does first class work and has great prices as well

I am also getting ready to update electronics. Any body have the Raymarine A 60 or the garmin498. The Raymarine A 60 has the digital fish finder and I was wondering if the digital technolgy was worth the extra bucks. Thanks Big Dave

Furuno plotter, furuno finder and furuno radar. Remember if you chose a combination unit if one is not working you lose it all for the time of repair. I experienced this with garmin combo unit repeatedly!

Like Jack said, redundant systems.I run multi- function Raymarine, but use them as stand alone units.

Ray or Furuno, you wont go wrong. Ray has a slight edge in resolution and refresh rate. Garmin is a good GPS, I use them as back up units.
