had two boats fish mans harbor yesterday and no rockfish, it may improve though. use live crokers in the bridge pileings. If the water cools down use eels
I am heading down to Pirates cove this weekend for some R&R and to visit with family. I was wondering if anyone wanted to share some tactics for rockfish around there or Manns harbor. I would like to hit the offshore waters for some tuna but not sure if the wx will cooperate so this will be my back up plan. Any info is appreciated.

Is there a good croaker spot close by to Pirates Cove?

Try bottom fishing around the channel marker, think it's red, just to the north of the entrance to pirates cove marina for croaker/bait.
Eels will work. Try all parts of water column. Some on bottom, some with 5-10' under float with egg sinker above swivel on leader, some free or with small egg sinker. Just depends on current.
Also can try trolling. Stretches or pull storms behind #1 or #2 planers.
Good luck,
Tom
