Default Late report: Pax on 11/3/07-----Timbass

Crabbed last Friday in 15-20 mph wind (must be crazy) launched at Benedict layed line in 12-16 ft. I mixed bushel of males very heavy 16 traps also. If it wasn't so windy I may have done a little better. Thats my last trip for the year, everybody take care see you at the snoodfest. Timbass

Was at Len's yeasterday, brought the good ship Croakers home for the year. The girl in the store told me one of the "regulars" brought in 3 1/2 bu. either Sunday or Monday, but I forgot the "regulars" name already. The river was white capping big time when I left for home about noon. So now to winterize and power wash the boat, and get everything ready for spring. Then I must spend some time sitting high up in my favorite oak tree watching the field edges. You guys take care and be careful out there, and catch a bunch. T.

    Gettem Jerry! Please report.
If you don't go, you won't know and you gotta have bait in the water!
I have terminal Crabiteis and there is no hope.

What a great day to be out on the water!!! No crowds, no wind, no hot sun or glare, calm water, good companionship....... The only thing missing was the cooperation of the crabs. Our final count was 25 keepers. Not what we expected after the 2 bushels RJ & I got 8 days prior.

The baits looked almost as good as fresh at the end of the day, so they will get another dunking next spring. I'm cleaning out the crabbing boat and puting it away for the winter. Will concentrate on catching some Stripers over the cooler months.

There's still a few crabs to be had if you want to work hard at it. Best to use traps this late in the season. Go deep, be careful. There's not much boat traffic out there this time of the year if you are in need of help, so plan ahead carefully.
