    Smile JRB Friday

Wife and I put in at Huntington Park ramp at about 11:00 AM. Tide was about slack high. Trolled a bit. Casted to the pilings too. Nothing going on. Once the tide started out hard, we anchored in about 30' and put out 2 lines with fresh bunker chunks. Within 5 minutes had a fat 26.5" striper in the boat. Within the next 3-4 hours, caught a 24" and a 21" bass all on bunker. The last fish before we had to leave was a nice 29" bass that went back because of the no keep 28"-34" slot. Man, that one was hard to let go, but "rules is rules." All fish were healthy looking with no sores. Great day on the river. Pretty flat the whole time out there.

were you using the bunker chunks and chunking or did you have the bunker chunks on hooks?

    Thumbs up JRB Report

We did the chunking thing on Friday and Sunday and limite out both days we nice healthy fish between 20 - 26" fish both days. Chunking is the way to go this time of year and fun for the entire family.

Absolutely, chunking is the way to go when all else fails. Diggy, we were using the chunks on circle hooks and occasionally throwing some chunks in the water as chum. Seemed to work as we found some of those chunks in the stomachs of the fish when we cleaned them.
