    Thumbs up OI mon&tue 12-13th

    Mon 11-12
    Boat: Reel Fancy
Crew: Jocelyn, Jake, Bert, Billy, Terp, Howard and me

Fished from the 680-750 in the monster filament. Lot of water so it was hard to find the hot spots but for us, the best was @ the 750. We managed a few Tuna bites But none stayed tight. We had a ton of hoo bites & managed 3 but cost us a hand full of rigs. Also we had 2 White marlin from a bait ball but both pulled off during the fight. Jakes girl Jocelyn (sp) managed a citation Hoo + had a nice fight with the first white.

Lots of buddy boats, it was fun to work with you guys.
Day 1 final. Just never got on um.

    Day 2 (Tue) 11-13

Crew: Bert, John, Hammerhead, Jake and me

Fished the 400-510 mostly just inside the stream 40-80 fat. Rough today, we had good intel on where the fish were Mon so locating them was easy however staying on a marks was really tough for me on my small boat. We did our best but in the end between rubber hooks & just plain pull offs, we bombed on the Tuna again. We did however manage a really cool double on the hot (super rough) side. 65lb citation Hoo for Bert & then while still fighting/circling back on the mark down goes the short on the same side & off screams a big Blue Girl. She broke Jake off tho since it was nearly Impossible to gain line with the sea state & she just settled in & stayed low. Pop goes the leader.

The fleet managed to round up some good catches just above @ the 540 in the 72.5 blend. We stayed tight since I feel like we had similar stuff where we were + had it to ourselves. The day before we were late to the 2-tone party & with the rough water I didnt want to lose anymore ground since it was a real PITA to get back south. Today we just couldn't really get the bites trolling back into the current/wind so as a result I felt like most of the day was spent just fighting for position. Anyways, I sure wish I had fished down below mon or atleast held off todays trip for tomorrow cause I feel like there were enough fish in the area to really pull out a good catch.

There's always next weekend, We'll be back for round 20 then .

    Day 2 final

    Bill,
Good to be back out there and to see you out there as well. I was back in Collington and dropped my girlfriends son off at the busstop and a little kid comes up to me and says, "Hey, you fish with that guy who catches tuna back here don't you." I just laughed and said yeah....why are the carcasses not piling up like they did last year in Collington Harbour. When they get here hopefully they will be thick...and the longer in takes em to get here the more charter boats will be in Mexico.

Let me know if you need one this weekend. Or if there is anything i can do down here to help get you ready while you are up there

Dr Mr Funk, could you please refrain from placing the volumious eyeball carcasses in the canal. The flow of the canal is low and they just do not flush out. My kids swim off the pier.

Nice fishing w/ya again Bill but it appears that we've placed the MD tuna vodoo on your a$$. I got to think that the fact that me, Billy AND Bert not touching a beer all day had something to do w/it. Next time we're bring Jack 30 pack and there'll be no doubt the boxes will be full.

So what, the boxes will be full of beer cans??? LOL

It was good seeing you all again... Wish I could have gone!!! But I should atleast get the Mother of the year award for letting Hammerhead take off school to fish huh???

Don't throw too much voodoo on us Terp, I'm hoping to have a memorable BD weekend with another limit of tuna's... Don't be a hater if we kill them and you miss it cause you stood me up on my BD...

Jocelyn, it was good meeting you and hope you'll return to fish again...

John, the stew was outstanding!!! Thanks again...

Billy, that is a great pic of Ole' Fancy... I'm going to save it!!! Glad you guys made it out!
