Nice fish, great report!
We watched the gaggle of boats staging at Lynnhaven, looked like a mess from the deck down the beach a little ways!
WTG!

Well, we fished the FLW Striper Series Tourney yesterday. We left Lynnhaven with 35(ish) other boats about 7 and ran way north to the hole above the cut channel. Picked up some fish as soon as the lines went in. HUGE MARKS in 75' all morning the bait was so thick it was thumping the lines the whole time. We were limited by the regs of the tourney to 6 lines so we ran two Umbrellas, two wire lines with MOJOs on the bottom and two lines with 32oz droppers trailed by the Flashfoil storms (6") caught a lot of fish but all OVER THE SLOT! Man it was tough to throw back 38"-40" fish. When the bite stopped, we ran back down to the CB Buoy and as soon as the lines went in we had a 44" Monster on the Umbrella rig. (darn slot fish tourney rules). Ran back to Lynnhaven for 3:00 check in and dropped a few lines inside the 3rd on the way for a few quick last minute attempts to get our 2 slot fish weight up a little higher. Everthing there was under the slot so we hauled a$$ in to the check in point. 26#6oz in two 30" fish won us 15th place (Team Striper Tube II). Picked up our check that covered the fuel for 120 miles we ran. Next stop was over to CP Shukers to have few beers. Not sure why there weren't more boats entered. I think there were 100 spots available and up to $30k to pay out to winners in prize and boat/motor bonuses. Anyways, we had a banner day out there on HOGS but rules are rules. Here is a pic of our largest fish of the day 44" (sorry about the clarity but it was a phone picture, only camera we had) as a reference the angler holding the fish up is over 6 foot tall. Jody Chartier Mechanicsville was the angler that landed this fish. Daniel Howell of Greenville, SC just emailed me the picture of the 2nd largest we caught. He was the angler on that one and it too was caught by the CB buoy. He did a great job landing that fish.

Yeah, I forgot my camera in the truck @ Long Bay and the rest of the team, for some strange reason, didn't want to go back and get it when we caught that first fish up around the Ghost Hole!
