EPA discharge permits
here's an excerpt from a letter i received from Thelma Drakes office on the subject;
" As a result, Rep. C. Miller (R-MI) & G. Talyor (D-MS) introduced H.R. 2550, which restores the EPA exemption provided to recreational boats. I am proud to be a cosponsor of this legislation, which has been referred to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. As a member of this committee and a cosponsor of this bill, I look forward to the future consideration of H.R. 2550 in the 110th Congress."
my 1st question is why did rep.s from 2 other states have to propose this when our economy has a huge dependancy on recreational boaters & why am i not hearing " I'll fix it" instead of "I look forward to the future consideration-"?
Sort of a "glass half empty" kind of guy, huh? She co-sponsors the bill, but that isn't good enough; she has to propose it. Would you rather she lied and said she "would fix it", when there are about 535 votes that are involved in the process in both houses and she has one of them?
I got a similar BS letter from my Senator in MD. This is highly political since no one wants to seem like they are against the environment and this "sounds like" a huge environmental thing to them approaching an election year.
