    Default CBBT Suicide Run Tommorrow

    Hey folks,

I'm making the suicide run down to the CBBT tomorrow morning to fish in the afternoon and at night. Fishing with my friend and his dad who has his boat in Lynhaven Inlet. He has a new boat, a 32' Tiara. They aren't fly fishermen but I'm hoping to turn them on to it.

Anyone who will be down there that day or night and wants to give us a shout out I will have my cell 301-221-6270.

Sweet! You beat me down there. I canceled a trip for Monday and went to work instead. I thought I might as well work some over time. Well... I got a flat in the field and it ruined my whole day, barely billed any hours. The whole time I was thinking... I could have been fishing!! Plus I think I worked up a cold changing a tire in the mud so when I was actually going to take a "fake" sick day to fish, I might be forced to take an actual sick day with this cold.

It might be tough for you to fly fish on that boat but I know you are still going to try no matter what. Not like there's an open bow to cast from. If you want, take a jigging rod or two out of my truck. They are light rods but def. capable of landing a few nice fish. They double as my smallmouth/largemouth rods.

    Good luck.

I just read that you are going to try at night too!!! Try smaller than you would normally, say size 2 or 1 clousers. Have some floating line handy. Tell them to anchor right on the light line. They'll probably be sitting and waiting with eels and you'll be banging them left and right on the fly and have two guys converted to fly fishing all in one night. They'll sell that boat for a 22' CC.

    good luck

Thanks, Jon. They will have some spin gear and I think a few eels too so we will have all bases covered. The offer is appreciated though. That is a good-size and very swank boat to be dodgin pilings at night in the current but they assure me that it is as nimble as any smaller CC.

    Seb,

We fished the high rise yesterday and then made it back north and then west. Fish were not really schooled up yesterday at the HR when we were there. Picked a couple nice fish from around the pilings and busted a pig in said pilings. Heard nice eel bite over near 4A in the afternoon. Tons of folks dunkin eels over at PLantation Light so we decided to head back to the York Spit neck of the woods. Marked some really good fish and managed to fool a few. Biggest was 10-15 lbs and roughly 30" Will be out on Friday again. Big half and halfs, chart. and white, pink and chart, on 350 and 650 grain lines. Big fish seem to be just getting into the western places I like to hit. Hope you get into them good!

Thanks Todd and for the call as well. I posted more details on Brian's board. We had a slow early aft but schoolie action picked up nicely in the late afternoon at the pilings before that front rolled in a blew us off the water. Hopefully, it will have settled down for you by Fri and the cool weather push some more fish south and into the bay.
