Left Messick point today at 12:30 with Mike Dupuis and headed straight for the 4th Island. Smooth sailing all the way and pulled up to see birds and boats everywhere. Decided to troll north towards the highrise on the ocean side and started seeing the birds balling up. Set out 2 umbrellas and started casting 6' Storms off the side. First cast with the storm landed a 39' incher in the cooler. It sure was fun on a spinning rod!! Hooked up a smaller schoolie on the umbrella and decided to stick with casting storms rest of day. All colors worked and plenty of action, rock's were breaking water and attacking. Perfect weather until 4:00 and the ride back with some NE winds starting to blow.
