Went out with Capt. Rob on the Real Escape friday with hopes of catching nice fish. Started at the Cut Channel but nothing biting early so move to 42 where we hooked 2 and lost one beside the boat- came out of the water like a large mouth and spit a 24 oz mojo at me, guess he knew what he was doing- so we moved on to the cell and caught fish, to Cape Charles and caught fish and on to Plantation and caught fish. Every where we caught fish!!! Kept 3 at 40 inches and called it a very good day. Thanks for the fishing trip Rob and the nice boat ride in the fog with radar, felt very safe! Hope to do it again soon with more people on board. It really was fun with just me and Cindy and she also had a good time just watching and doing what she could to help.. Thanks again, Stripers11
It's always a true pleasure to take you and your family and friends out, thank you for coming down friday and for the report on TF!!.......once i figure out how to add the pictures i will......and since i called off the trip sceduled for today i should have plenty of time today!! i hope anyone out is staying close and being safe.
Many captains i spoke with out there friday were real helpful in talking with each other to help zero in on the fish during such a scattered bite ..special thanks to Hank and Wayne on the Bandit, Scott on the Double down, Terry on the Mason T just to name a few....its this kind of cooperation out there that makes fishing that much more fun and productive to all who participate inthis great sport!!
For those looking for us now, we fished the boat down the bay friday and we are now docked in Hampton at Southall Landings in the Salt Ponds....where we will be until March 1!!
Hopefully there are some pictures attached, these are 2 of the 3 fish we kept.......i don't think Cindy wanted to hold up the other one.....Mike had remarked how heavy his were and how slow a photographer i was
As I told ya Rob, Mike is a Lucky Charm. Always found fish when he is on board or around us. One of the best Mike stories was the day our transducer went out on the Fish Finder. Mike ran his center console in front of Bandit, keeping us on fish. We ended up getting our limit for 6 people.
Looks like a great day Mike and Rob. Sure makes it more challenging navigating in all that fog. Can't imagine not having radar in that stuff!!!! Seemed like the Sun was going to burn it off a couple of times, but never did until about 3:45 as we started to head in. Glad you guys got into them!
Good to hear from you, hope all is well. As Wayne mentioned, it was foggy out there friday.......good thing you were able to get my radar working!!!.....so far this season all the bells, whistles, gadgits and gizmos are working just great thanks to you!!!
if any you guys out there need a top notch electronics man......call Shawn (Boomerang), he's the best!!!!
Wayne, Hank mentioned the Bandit has a cold, i hope you get her back out soon!!!.....God bless the MAN doctors, they keep us going this time of year!!
