i was reading about one in the sportsman mag. this one does not require any drilling and will increase fuel mpg,by 30-40 -% but did not want to work against my self
hydrafoil manufactures claim great benifits. I tried one on a my bass boat for skiing years ago no noticable differance other than lost top end. I belive proper tab use will help the low end problem and at higher speeds they are just more drag. thay claim to help with cavitation but so will a prop size change. If they were the great cure all some claim why havent drive manufatcturers incorperated them into their cavitation plates?
good luck
went to the site.it was good information.thanks dennis
I have utilized two different types through the years. I believe one was a 'whale tail' and the other a 'sting ray'. Helped tremendously with my old thick hulled 1970 john allmand 23'hardtop. Also put one on a bayliner 2550 ciera sportfisher and 18' glass seastar with good results. They really enhance the tilt/trim results. Like the trim wheel on a plane. bob
