    Default Late 12/18 Report

Left Back River about 0830 the 18th headed for bouy 18 at Kiptopeke. Little rough crossing the bay. Got there and put out the spread of eels. Found things real slow going. Managed two 38" fish on the eels, had a couple other runs where fish just pulled bobber down, 2 second run and droped the eel.

Moved up to Plantation light and found some nice bait and put out the trolling spread, white and green umbrella and white and green mojo with 9" shad off 3 way. Ended up with a 47" release, 42" in the cooler, 38" in the cooler 40" and 38' release. All but one of the fish were cought deep on the trailer baits. All the fish today were heavy nice fish.

    Thumbs up Good Report

    Archie,

Sounds like changing the location and style of fishing paid off nicely. Congrats on the citation!!!

    Nice job Archie.

Yea there are times when ya got to put the eels away and get on the troll to cover some ground.

I tried to go out Friday night and my port engine won't shift into forward gear. Could not figure it out so had to abort the trip. Had Bill from Bill's Marine look at Tue while in the slip. Something inside the lower unit is blocking the shifter making it stick. Hauling it out today to bring it to the shop. Hopefully will be back up soon.

Nice fish on the troll! Might have to give that a try tomorrow.

Thanks for the details and thanks for the report!
