12-21 Report

Well, with the real estate market being slow i decided to go deer hunting yesterday and rockfish fishing today. We headed over to buoy 18 in search and found very little bait. After a couple of drifts with no bites we decided to give the highrise a try. As we approached it, a pod of birds started to dive right in front of us with our name on it. We had a guy in the front of the boat casting storms catching numerous 18-28 inch fish and 2 of us off the back of the boat drifted eels down current into the pilons. Caught a 34 incher and then a super fat 37 incher. woohoo skunk out of the boat. The birds ended up getting real thick but weren't diving all that much. Most f the fish were slot size or under that were being caught so we decided to do a few more drifts and ended up with 1 more bite to end the day. All in all it was a goodtime and It felt great to make my mind off of work for a couple of days.
