    Default Needing a little help.

Im going to be coming down to Big Pine during June and I was wondering about maybe some wrecks of sea humps or anything like that that we could catch some fish off of. Or maybe even a website to get some numbers. Thanks for any help.

No big humps off Big Pine like Marathon and Islamorada. In June the "ups and downs" will be the place to start looking for dolphin etc.

If you are deep dropping the ups and downs also holds snowy grouper and gray tiles 480' to 620'. As the water gets warmer in the summertime you may or may not need to run further south.

The "Wilkes Barr" is a big wreck in 240' and is on all the charts.

I might have some decent #s on the handheld, I'll post them if I find them, the edge of the reef is very good, there is a rubble pile the divers hit that's been good in the past too. Inside up Spanish channel is very good for sharks and snappers too. We're usually there in the winter, the Bahia Honda area is good for Tarpon in June (as is everywhere else).

Good reef fishing down there but be sure to stay outside of the protected areas of Looe Key. Inside the big, yellow buoy balls.

Anybody have any pointers for fishing Little Torch?
I'll have a 25' boat there for the month of Feb/08 and would like to fish every day possible.
    thanks
