Hi flytyer209,
Tie Fest is a free event run by Tony who is active on the Tidalfish site and Mid-Atlantic Fly Anglers. Most of the pertinent information is show in the bulletin posted above. Kent Island is on the eastern end of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge (not to be confused with the Chesapeake Bay Bridge tunnel!).
The club will have a display and members will take turn "manning" it. Flies will be tied and questions about the club answered. We would be glad to have you join us.
Check out the "sticky" at the top of the fly fishing board for more info:

This year there will be two special guests, Bob Popovics and Lefty Kreh. The event is sort of like a smaller version of the Somerset, NJ fly fishing show only free to get in and more user friendly.
Hope to see you there!
Here is the latest bulletin I received from CCA Maryland this morning:

TieFest is a grass roots effort to further the sport of fly fishing.
We gather as equals to teach and to learn. Over the past eight years, TieFest has grown from eight to hundreds of likeminded individuals. This year shall prove to be bigger and better than ever. Various attractions and sponsors are listed below. This year we are proud to support the Maryland Artificial Reef Initiative (MARI) with a silent auction and various raffles.

Hello Bill,
It was nice to meet you at Tiefest, and I look forward to attending a club meeting in the near future. You fellows have a great club and I had the pleasure of meeting several members at the show. One question though, who's older Lefty or Don?
Best Regards,
Steve Silverio

Hey Steve,
it was nice to meet you and I believe you also spoke to Ron Smith about doing a presentation at one of our meetings. Hope you can make it!
Thank you so much for the kind words about our club!
Don just turned 74 in January and I believe Lefty is 83.
