There will still be sails around. Start looking just past the reef and beyond. There may be some dolphin but their numbers are thicker as you get into late April and into May. There will definitely be kings and cero ocean side and there should be cobia on both sides. In the Gulf you should find Spanish macks and maybe some trout still around. On the reef the grouper and snapper fishing should be good and you should have a flat line out for kings and ceros that might wander into your chum line.

was there same time last year. if its windy, spanish will be hot in the bay about 10 miles nne of marathon. also, find some of the old wrecks, anchor uptide. drop a bag of chum over, and start fishing. you will catch EVERYTHING. same goes on the outside. find a patch reef, anchor and chum. catch some hoo or pinfish and set em out.

Check out the Thunderbolt wreck. It's about a mile past Coffins Patch in 115' of water. Should be kings and cero around it as well as some big cudas. We've also caught flag yellowtail freelining and assorted bottom fish. Some big groupers down there, some amberjack and we caught huge bull shark there a couple of years ago.
