What is the best way to cook oysters out of a jar (already shucked) other than frying them?

i assume you could do em the same way if you had a small oven proof container for a oyster to set on something similar to what they use for the crab (fake shell the deviled crab is done on) altho i never tried it im sure it would work just fine

Flytyer glad you enjoyed em its something i kinda just came up with and seemed to work pretty good. I plan on maybe tryin some with some shrimp and or crab instead of the bacon and see how that goes.

    Default Escalloped Oysters

    1qt-oysters
    1-sleave of saltine crackers
    1/2-stick of butter
    1-small canned milk
    1-dash of Tabasco
    1/4tsp-fresh thyme
    1-grind of black pepper
    a little paprika on top

-Put the butter, thyme, tabasco and pepper in a bowl and microwave until melted
    -crush up saltines in sleave
-taste oysters, if they are not salty, you may need to add some
-layer into casserole, crackers, oysters, butter and canned milk until done (might need more crackers)
-paprika on top, into 300 oven for ~1/2 hour (until it puffs up and slightly browns on top)

Try not to eat it all as a single serving !
