    Default Barnagate Bay Thred

Hi all im new to the boards here so figured I would start a Barnagate Bay thred.
I spent over 35 years fishing the bay and have owned too many boats to list :)
At the moment Im RUNNING A 18' CC Leader Cat with a 90 Ocean Pro on a jack plate to get in the skinny waters.
If anyone is new to the bay or have some questions Im here to help . I fish only on weekdays or nights.

Looking foward to the spring flatties and stripers soon to come.

    Welcome Paint,
I personally only get up that way a few time a year, retired parents have a place right off of 72 about 6 miles b-4 the island, directly across from Scrubby Pines campground.

Am going to try and make it there more this summer with my family and would love to learn some of the back bay there.

Spent many years going out on all of the head boats and did many charters with the Eble family out of Barneget.

    I'll be in touch.

    Thx

    Thanks fr the welcome.
I fish for the most part a bit north of you from the seaside bridge( early spring or nights )
    South to BI
I went out wadeing last night on some warmer water flats and pulled 3 bass on plugs my first this year. Loads of bait around looks like a good start :)

    Welcome aboard Paint!!!

Not at all familiar with the Barnagate Bay. I am pretty new to saltwater fishing, 3 years. I live 125 miles from water so I only get out about 10 days a year. I mostly fish the Raritan.

    Paint,
Whats happening over there now? My family has a small place on the lagoons of Tuckerton. I own a 21' CC century. I usually head south to the LE inlet then N along LBI. Havent spent much time in Barnagate. We should share success stories. Would love to learn the waters of Barnagate. However, I plan on fishing ALOT from shore or Kayak this year due to the fuel cost. I'm headed down this weekend. May hit some spots on the Mullica River, unless you feel like sharing some spots up North.

    Paint, Welcome
I've more than likely seen you on the water in the past! I run a 21' Parker out of Forked River and have been in since mid-March. The only way to fish Barney is at night and weekdays, it's a zoo on weekends. Been during well with the Bass and Blues so far, but the Weakies have been elusive.
Give me a call on 68 if your out and looking for a report, be glad to help.
