    Default Morehead City Offshore Report

Hey guys, i'm new on the forum and just wanted to make my first post and report a good one. We were able to sneek out to the stream last monday and friday and were glad to see some signs of life. Monday we had a pretty good catch of 30lb class yellowfin along with a wahoo and a dolphin and even encountered a blue marlin. Fri we were able to pull out a good catch of 50lb class YFT. Def. a great way to start off the season.

Hope everyone is gettin geared up

Great job Ryan! Glad to see you were able to get out and catch. What kind of of spread did you have out and what was the hot lure? The water temp charts look good. I'm hoping to get down there in the next few weeks if the weather cooperates.

deepbluesea--- we mostly fish the stream which is a 35-45 mi. run pretty much anyway you look at it from morehead city, however, if your not looking to make that big of a run i know that there are some great inshore spots around the area that will probably be more productive as the season progresses, what kind of boat? fishing are you into?

It's that time of yr when every tuna report gets ya ichin to get down there fishing. Anyone heard a report from Hatteras? Might have to make the drive down to morehead.
