Anyone have any info on the Status
of the pier? I heard rumors that they
were going to buld a concrete pier. Just
curious.

I think it's just rumor, cause they ain't done nothing yet. I miss that pier, caught my first cobia there. I grew up in Wanchese me and my brother would slip over there all the time. DP

The state bought it. I heard they are gonna do concrete and have some kind of museum or aquarium in it also. I don't know if they are gonna build out very far though. Thats what I was told at the end of last summer.

1000 ft to the end!!! not sure what its gonna be hopin its gonna be an octogon!!!! there is gonna be not alcohol permitted on this pier hope it keeps the crouds down!! and hope it dont cost an arm and leg to fish!!!!
