Default Anyone Own an AVET LX 6/3???

Anyone??? Preferably on the Southside. I would like to hold one in my hands before I buy it. The alternative is driving to Bishop's, just thought someone on this side of the water might be able to help me out.

I do believe they have a few different size Avet's at Bass Pro. I've seen 'em. I bought an HX 5/2 online before I realized they had it at BPS and Bishops.

I have two AVET LX6.0:1 on 6'6" ugly sticks. They go good together, but the TLD 5, and TLD 10 feels even better on shimano baitcaster rods. I will be up at the hair salon next to long bay point this morning at 9am if you want to hold it then. If you can't make that, I can meet you at the va beach fishing center sometime today im just around the corner. Text me on my cell, 757-348-5309 I don't answer numbers I don't know and I don't check voice mail.

    Default I got one..

    Ketchup,

I got a LX 6/3 two speed, a JX 6:0:1 and a SX 5:3:1. They are all left handed and fabulous reels. I encourage you to purchase any Avet reel from John Bishop to support his shop. I bought all of mine there. The LX 6/3 is an awesome reel. I use it locally sometimes for ocean stripers and offshore fishing. I use it alot for grouper fishing in Florida too. In my opinion you can't go wrong with Avet. They make them in different colors for you to choose from.

Jason, it's hard to tell from Avet's website if your reel is the same frame/size as a 6/3. My thinking is that it should be, but it looks like the pictures change on the blow-ups. I may get up with you soon.

It looks like they have the same line capacity, the 6.3 is 2oz. heavier, guessing because of the two speed. And it has a different handle.

    Technical Data
    Line capacity:
    350yd of 30lb. line mono.

Yep, ALL of that is on the website. As I said above, the pics seem to change when you "enlarge", and I am wondering if the frames are the same (size).

Glenn, still very active in the PBFC, but even a blind chicken gets a kernel of corn once in awhile...
